Dulces (Madrona) No 139

Type: Restaurant/Lounge
Class: Midscale

Dulces is a Spanish(?) restaurant located in upscale Madrona. There are actually two bars in the place. To the left is the restaurant portion and a small dark wood bar that seats about 7. To the right is a cigar and brandy lounge. It is quite nice looking, with a large numbers of Brandy bottles on the shelves and deep cigar stained wood. The chairs look comfy and I would love to be able to afford to spend some time in that room. Most likely over a card game where I could get shot for cheating. Sure it is not really my style but I could pretend to be notorious.

The Restaurant looks Midscale, but is priced Upscale. It is nice and there is a lot of staff running around serving patrons. Our drinks were Midscale (Beefeater and Absolute) and priced at $5. The drinks were picked up by Farida who now has here own sponsorship line next to her husbands.

All in all, it was pretty, but dull. This is not a drinking destination. While they use good booze, there is no non-restaurant clientele worth mentioning and there are better ways to spend $5 a drink. I give Dulces 2 Martini Glasses out of 5.
